Image Processing - Methodologies and Applications

The theme of the session “Image processing – Methodologies and Applications" includes two parts: methods and applications. The methods focus on image pre-processing, image segmentation and recognition, as well as mathematical models in the image processing such as wavelet, fractal and Partial differential equations. The applications part concentrates on problems related to industry and daily life, such as photogrammetry and ground-penetrating radar image processing. After the meeting, authors of selected presentations will be invited to submit journal articles for journal publication in the Journal of Algorithms and Computational Technology.
Subjects include but are not restricted to:
1. Pre-processing, segmentation and recognition in images and videos
2. Wavelet, fractal and Partial differential equations (PDE) in image processing
3. Parallel and distributed algorithms for image processing
4. Photogrammetry, Ground-penetrating radar image and other pplications of image processing in industry and real life.
