Distributed Computing and Applications plays an important role in many areas, such as electronic commerce, engineering design, science computing, manufacturing etc. It is a key high-technology for competitiveness in industrialized countries as well as for speeding up development in developing countries. Many research results and new ideas emerge in the world every year.

2004 International Symposium on Distributed Computing and Applications to Business, Engineering and Science (DCABES) is an interdisciplinary get-together that combines many fields of distributed computing. The Symposium will be held at the Yu Jia Tou Campus of Wuhan University of Technology, in Wuhan, Hubei province, from 13th to16th, Sept. 2004. Your submission and attendance are welcome. The DCABES 2004 Proceedings will be published formally (with ISBN number). The DCABES International Symposium has attracted attentions in the distributed computing world. The DCABES proceedings has been indexed by the ISTP of ISI. We will do our best to make the DCABES 2004 as one of  important international academic conferences.
